The Newberry Davenports descend from Isaac Davenport (d. 1749) in North Carolina. Both paper genealogy and Y-DNA show that Isaac was the son of Francis Davenport (1651-1707), who was born in England and died in New Jersey. It is believed Francis was part of the Cheshire line, we just don’t know how. Their Y-DNA is different, so it is likely paternal event occurred at Francis or above.
