The Mackinaw Davenports descend from Ambrose R Davenport, born in Virginia in 1771.
Although we only have one descendent of Ambrose, he does match two English participants who descend from the Chorley branch of the Cheshire line, and one whose Davenport ancestor was born in Ireland. And their Y-DNA is different that the main Cheshire line.
